My wife has Thyroid. Doctor has recommended to take thyronorm tablets and go for periodic check of Thyroid. However, it is to continue for her lifetime. Can't Thyroid be cured?

Hello, hypothyroidism is a thyroxine deficiency disorder. This is an essential hormone, needed daily for normal functioning of brain and various metabolic activities. So it has to be supplied daily that too for life time. So the treatment has to go on for lifetime. There is no option.
