I am a 47 years old and have thyroid. I have bags under my eyes and also what looks like cholesterol deposits under my eye - is this a cholesterol issue , a derma issue or a endocrinology issue ? How do I deal with it.

Lybrate-user, by saying" I have thyroid" are you referring to hypothyroidism? if so then, in case of uncontrolled hypothyroidism there may be a swelling of the face and lower eyelids and legs and feet. If in good control then tsh values are between 3 to 4 milli units/l. As regards some deposits under the eye, cholesterol is not seen any where in the body like that. It can only be detected by measuring lipid levels of the blood. Your problem may be something else. You may talk to your local doctor and then decide whom to consult. Your bmi is 25 kgs/m2, which shows being over weight, so regular exercise and diet control are required. Thanks.
