My daughter doing her MBA IN Canada is struggling with mental stress issues, maybe hormone related stress she is 31 - her stress is about being a support system for others but never getting the same back. She is unable to eat sensibly or do anything to distract herself! Anything I can do to help her, are medicines required?

Medicines may be required. Safe and effective medicines (one or two types, not more than that) can be given. Chronic stress related problems are best treated with medicines. The lay public far overestimates the side effects of medicines while underestimating the remarkable benefits it can have. In my opinion, it is not wise to delay this further and invite unnecessary complications. Some blood tests like hemoglobin and thyroid profile will also need to be done. Take care!
