I am 31 years old female. I have thyroid problem since 2011 I got married in 2015. I was taking the medicine for 50 mg but my thyroid is not getting control. I started taking 75 mg from feb but only 2 months it was normal after that again tsh goes on higher side .i.e. 17. Why it is not getting controlled.

lybrate-user, As I understand with Thyroxine 75 mcg daily, TSH was in control for about 2 months. Later it has again increased to 17 mU/L with 75 mcg of thyroxine, is that right? Or have reduced the dosage after TSH came down on 75 mcg dosage. Please clarify. If now TSH is high, then there is a need to increase Thyroxine dosage to 100 mcg, per day and check TSH level after 6 weeks. Thanks.
