I am 36 male I have diabetes since 12 years. Since 2 months my diabetes is not in control today my fasting sugar was 250. I take triglimet v Forte twice a day. In afternoon I take under 5 mg. And in night in take lantus 30 units but still my sugar is not in control. I do not take any sweets or tea or coffee. I eat rice only in afternoon. Please advise.

Mr. lybrate-user, One of the main reasons for uncontrolled glucose level is your excess body weight. You have grade 3 obesity with a BMI of 40.83 kgs/M2, Your ideal body weight should be 55 kgs. There is an excess of 43 kgs. Unless you make a special effort to cut weight, it is very difficult to gain desired blood glucose control. There has to be a very strict control on food intake (reduced calories) plus good deal of exercise a day of at least 1 hour. Thanks.
