My mother 94, gets in to depression often and gets confused with the time line and places. Talks a lot, cries and get horribly abusive. What cabn be done?

She probably suffers from a prof restive condition common at her age called dementia. She may need investigations as to rule out all possible treatable and reversible causes of dementia. This includes a series of tests and imaging studies. In view of her behaviour problem she may be started on some medications under the close supervision of a psychiatrist's and physician.
