Dear Lybrate user:- Buckling & laser treatment to treat the retinal detachment is routine procedure. This procedure is mandatory also. U should send previous prescription image, to confirm accurate diagnosis & extents of retinopathy. Excessive pressure created by buckling may cause pain & necrosis of the underlying tissues. Make urgent private consultation with me for further clarification of your eye problems.
