I am 42 years old lady. My report shows that my thyroid stimulating hormones are more than its range. Can you plzz help me know that what does it indicate and what should I do to take care of myself?

Hello Madam, If your TSH is raised, then I would suggest you to get your T3 and T4 levels checked. If they are low then you may be ahving Hypothyroidism. If the T3 and T4 are normal, then you are most likely having Subclincial Hypothyroidism. For Overt Hypothyroidism, you will be asked to take Thyroid hormone replacement tablets for the rest o your life. In Subclincial Hypothyroidism depending on the value of TSH, you maybe asked to wait and watch and to monitor your thyroid function tests regularly. Thank you.
