I am 27 years old female. I am hypothyroid from past 2 years and taking Thyronorm 50 mg. I got my TSH, T3, T4 levels tested today and my TSH levels were at 0.109 which are below the optimal levels (0.555 to 4.78). T3 and T4 are within the normal range. I went to a homeopath and he decreased the dose to 25 mg along with he gave 3x. I wanted to know isint both these doses further reduce my TSH as it is already below the normal level?

This medicine can not be continued with the same doses for a long time. Need to keep a constant watch ideally every 6 months. As your dose is already tapered. You are on half dose now. So please repeat your thyroid profile after 3 months and see your homeopath. Homeopathic medicine will not reduce your tsh further.

Hi, I would like to know what is the name of homeopathic medicine that was prescribed for you as 3X is the potency or dose of the medication. Regarding your query, TSH level seems to be marginal low suggesting as you rightly said that you have hypothyroidism, the thought process by which the physician must have prescribed two medication is that all endocrinal disorders are very unstable. As your TSH level was marginal low the physician has reduced the dose of thyronorm and by giving homeopathic remedy the physician idea was to treat you constitutionally so that we can eliminate the root cause of the hypothyroidism. So, if you please let me know the homeopathic remedy, I can further guide you. I hope I have answered your query satisfactorily. Thanks for consulting us at Lybrate.

Hello, Madam, having TSH level at 0.109 mU/L is fine. It not excessively low. In fact it good to have the a well controlled TSH, to be free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. I am not aware of what is 2x tab. In treatment of hypothyroidism only effective drug is thyroxine. No other drug has any role. Homeopathy does not have any drug at all. If you have any doubts please do come back. Thanks.
