Hello doctor. Please tell me the symptom of colour blindness and how can it be treated?
Ask Free Question
Colour blindness usually involves the inability to distinguish between shades of red and green. Most color vision problems are inherited (genetic) and are present at birth. People usually have three types of cone cells in the eye. Each type senses either red, green, or blue light. You see color when your cone cells sense different amounts of these three basic colors. To cure this color blindness would require some form of gene therapy, repairing the damaged chromosome. However even this is only educated circumspection, there is no scientific method available at present that shows any signs of promise of a cure for color blindness.
