Will a person with Type 2 diabetes under control end up with the need for insulin?

There is no rule like that. But chances of insulin requirement increases with long duration of diabetes mellitus, requirement of multiple medicines in high dose to control diabetes and severity of hyperglycaemia. But all patients don't end up requiring insulin.

Hello, Type 2 can mostly be controlled without insulin. Insulin might be needed in case of trauma or incase of faulty lifestyle.
