I underwent cabg in 2008. One week back my investigations showed low total body iron with normal hb. My lipase is also increased. I am niddm type ii. Kindly correlate and comment.

Low total iron levels suggests low iron intake in diet so you can increase the iron rich food in diet. As you have undergone CABG, strict sugar control. Some drugs may cause increase in Lipase. Please confinr are you on such drugs. As long as the values are not exceeding more than double of upper limit of normal for lipase and you are not having symptoms, no active intervention is required however clinical assessment by doctor is recommended.
