Hello sir I am 27 years old. I have uric acid problem. First time blood test report having 8.3 uric acid level. Then I have taken medicine prescribe by the doctor for 10 days (medicine are allopurinol 300 mg) then test again my blood and then it's level is 3.3 and after that doctor change the medicine (like uricostat 80 mg and doloforce dt) for 3 weeks. After that my uric acid level is 6.7.sir please suggest the proper treatment for this. Please reply as soon as possible sir.

Normal Uric acid levels are 2.4-6.0 mg/dL (female) and 3.4-7.0 mg/dL (male). Normal values will vary from laboratory to laboratory. Also important to blood uric acid levels are purines.To reduce the uric acid levels in blood, you may need to limit intake of alcohol, sugary foods and reduce purine rich foods like meat, poultry, seafood and pulses. Vegetables such as cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, peas and mushroom also contain a lot of purines
