Ideal sugar level during pregnancy should be maintained between 90 - 120 mg through out the day. Hence, 135 mg after food is high. Is she on any treatment? if not then she must start on minimal dosage of insulin (4 - 6 units a day) and bring the levels below 120 mg. In pregnancy high sugar is dangerous for the fetus as it may trigger macrosomia (large baby).
