I have been operated for Papillary thyroid carcinoma and doing good now, I have been on Eltroxin for almost a month and half now. Is it ok to take Eltroxin at different times? I have been taking this at 8 AM or 10 AM or 9 AM on empty stomach due to busy schedules and managing a gap of 1 hour to eat or drink.

Mr. lybrate-user thanks for the query. Thyroxine hormone is a very sensitive chemical and the quantity is in micro grams. So it is absolutely essential to take it early morning around 6 am or so on empty stomach. Nothing should be taken after that for at least 1 to 1 and half hour. This has to be adhered to very strictly. Thanks.
