Hello my mother age is 52 she is unable to pick her right hand up she is having to much pain our doctor said that her muscle are tear she also have diabetes.

Most likely she has Shoulder impingement with tear of the supraspinatus muscles. Get her Mri scan to check. If the muscle is torn it requires repair. The outcomes of repair are extremely good.

Dear lybrate-user it looks like your mother have frozen shoulder is there any history of any fall, any trauma or jerk etc. If yes then when and how since when she is unable to lift the shoulder which house hold activities she is able to do a lot of examination to be done. It's better to meet some good physiotherapist or orthopedition soon.
