Hello, Thanks for the query. If you are taking ORS like ELECTRA in tetra pack then it contains only 2.7 g of Dextrose (glucose). That quantity is very marginal and can be taken by a diabetic person. However, if one talks of other tetra packs like ENERZAL, then the glucose content is much higher. That is not good for a diabetic person. Thanks.

ORS need not have to be taken regularly. It is to be taken when there is extreme dehydration only. Taking ORS once in a while wiil not make much difference in the blood sugar level of a diabetes patient
