Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. If you have diabetes, then first and fore most is to achieve a strict blood glucose control with FBG:<100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. That will help maintaining an overall better health. For lower back pain there are a number of exercises which can be done by lying down flat on a mat - these include 1) Lifting one leg straight up from hip, holding it for five counts, then the second leg. This can be done for five sets, 2) Lifting both legs up to a 30 degree from ground, holding at that level for 5 counts, doing five sets 3) Cycling for 30 counts in each set, 3 sets like this, 4) Lifting the legs and touching the toes beyond your head, do it 10 times, 5) Turning the the legs inside out 10 times and same repetition from outside to inwards (difficult to explain) can be seen on TV in Astha channel, 6) Pawan muktasana, with one leg then with both legs. Like this there are many exercises which can help in stretching back muscles and help relieving the pain. Any pain iller is fine for a few days. Thanks.
