I am 20 years old. The problem is, someone told me to eat chewing gum to get rid of bubbly cheeks. But this resulted in giving me two grooves on either side over my cheeks. This looks really awkward. Can you please tell me how to get rid of these grooves and get my plain smooth face back as previous?

Hello Lybrate user, The two grooves on either side of your cheek is because of overstimulation of your jaw muscle which is known as masseter muscle .also known as masseter hypertrophy which is because of continuously chewing of chewing gums .it's the same principle as you do more workout in gym to make more muscles. The more you clench your teeth the more work your masseter muscle has to do .it does not happen when you normally chew your food. I would advise you to stop this habit of continuously chewing on chewing gum. Eventually the groove which appears due to hypertrophy of masseter muscle will disappear but it will take some time. And who says bubbly cheeks are not cute.
