Respected Dr. I am 69 years Male. In the test on 21st Sep 2016 my TSH was 11.39 (T3 was 84 ng/dl, 7.1 mcg/dl) and advised to take thyronorm 50 mcg. TSH before commencing on 30/9 was 8.47 and took the tab alternate days only due to sleepy mood .on 28th Jan 2017 TSH was 4.44 and since last one month taking 25 mcg daily and since 2005 angiogram taking Plagerine A150 and since 8 months only Plagerine 75 and seloken 50 mg and my latest HbA1c is 5.4 & PPBS in Mayv18th test is 108 with serum creatinine of 1.40. I stopped taking one tab a day of Metadoze IPR 850 (took from March 2014) for sugar control since October 16 & felt better from loose stools. MY question is since last one year I frequently have loose tools and mild pain and gets better after taking very bland food but recurs 3 or 4 times a month .is this related to high TSH .Thanks.

Loose stools assocoated with mild pain is not rrelated to high TSH. It may be due to colitis, which is infection in intestines which cause loose motion s with mild pain whenever you take spicy food. It is easy to cure, consult a Doctor who will evaluate you and adivise appropriate medicine.
