My wife is diagnosed with PCOS and advised to take oral contraceptive pill yasmin from the 1st day of the menstrual cycle. After consuming the tablet she began to suffer from severe gas accompanied by vomiting and dizziness. She gave up taking the from the 5th day as the problem increased further. I would like to know whether it will have any adverse affect for discontinuation of the pills. Also suggest me any other alternatives available for curing PCOS other than oral contraceptive pills. Please advise.

On discontinuation she may get bleeding called withdrawal bleeding. There are other options and instead of deciding on your own anything she should have met same treating doctor. It needs detailed medical history, clinical examination, looking at old reports and may be take out some new reports before she can be advised so meet Gynecologist.
