I am 56 years old lady residing in India, vegetarian, on medication for hypertension and hypothyroidism since last 7 yrs. My wt is 76.4 kg and Ht. Is 5 ft. I do Yoga and pranayam everyday for 1 hr. My what is not reducing at all even though I tried diet plans under supervision of dietitian also. I want to reduce at least 5 kg weight. You only tell me that why I am not able to loose weight. Even though I am following my diet plan seriously from last 2 months, and at the same time my friends are loosing weight very rapidly like 5 kg in 1 month, now I do not want to spend more money on diet plans, only I need guidance.

No sweets, Sugar in your diet Avoid Fried food, junk food, eat more of Salads, vegetables and fruits Walk briskly for 45! mts daily.

If you are not able to lose weight in spite of having a good diet and exercise schedule then you should probably get your thyroid levels checked which may be the root cause why you are not able to lose weight if your thyroid is not under control so I will advise you to get a complete thyroid profile and get back to me with the reports for an individualized advice.
