hi, in my opinion depression directly does not cause cancer but when a person is in depression he/she becomes negative in every aspect so his/her immunity level may become low and low immunity provides a good ground for cancer. For your second question all allopathic medicines are chemicals and may have some side effects in some persons according to their body metabolism so may create some problems. I would advise you to ask the doctor for the effects and side effects of the prescribed medicines.
