Hello, I took a bipolar quiz on psychology central and they scored me a mania score-36 and depression score-29 with a possible diagnosis of bipolar II. I had mood swings in the past and a period of depression just before major exam wherein I failed due to the exam anxiety and depression. I still am preparing for the need exam and do get mood swings often accompanied by self doubt and what-if-I-fail-again thoughts which takes long hours from my study routine. I sometimes get so irritated at normal things that my mother starts to scold me. How can I ascertain if I am really suffering from bipolar disorder or is it something else or is it completely normal?
