Sir, I have ocd problem it started in my schooling day but I visited Dr. After my marriage. Now my problem is I want baby but my gynecologist say ocd medicines can cause birth defects to baby or any mental health problems to baby. I take rexipra 100 mg, uvox 100 mg, daxid 10 mg for ocd please Dr. Tell me this medicine take all 9 month can causes any birth defects or mental health problems to baby .I am very scared because without medicine I can't control my ocd problem.

Your Gynecologist is totally wrong, she seems very immature in her observations. She seems to not understand medicine, sorry to say, cause if she knows what OCD is, she would have advised properly. OCD is a long term disorder like Diabetes or hypertension, and during pregnancy doctors (psychiatrist) discuss the risk-benefit ratio and give medicines which are relatively safe. Drug guidelines having classification for medications based on how they need to be prescribed during pregnancy. I suggest you discuss with your psychiatrist and sorry to say change your poorly informed Gyne. All the best.
