Hello There is small difference In lasik we raise a flap and ablate the cornea but in smile, we dont ablate but we pull that cornea piece out and corrects refractive error

smile is much safer & latest , needs only 2.5 mm incision to scoop out corneal material after laser , there is no need of corneal flap
