Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. For T1 DM only effective drug is Insulin. No other drug is used or recommended. There is a mention of eltroxin tablet in the medicines being taken, that means you also have hypothyroidism. If that is not well controlled weight can go up. You are overweight with a BMI of 28.33 kgs/M2. Please check TSH value, it has to be maintained <3 mU/L for being free from symptoms of hypothyroidism. If that is properly controlled then weight reduction can be possible. Thanks.
