Hello Doctor, My father is ill from past 6 days. Today he have done CBC test (complete blood count). Everything is fine but these are not normal, Platelets is 89000/cmm Total WBC Count is 3800/mm And SGPT - 94 IU/L Please doctor tell me the solution. How to increase Platelets count? How to increase WBC Count? How to decrease SGPT? Help me out sir.

Dear it seems like viral infection. It seems your dad had fever since few days the picture above you have described is usually seen in dengue fever or other viral fever. It would be advisable to get dengue IgG and IgM test done. The above possibility is most likely as sgpt which suggests inflammation in liver is there. The platelet, WBC and sgpt will all improve by themselves once fever resolves. No specific medicine is there. All patients improve .no need to worry. Supplements good food like papaya ,green leafy vegetables and low oily food as he might be having nausea and decreased appetite. You can give vitamin b12 and folate supplement. Watch for any warning signs like red spot in legs or blood from any site like in urine or stool or from gums .if anything like this report immediately to doctor nearby. Otherwise just repeat CBC after a day and if everything is. Improving just rest at home.
