I loved a person a lot and we lived for 3 years. She find someone and I cannot live without her. This happened for second time. I could not concentrate on studies. My age was 22. I took so many sleeping pills but of no use. I went near to death but then I stopped. I do gym, yoga and meditation. My love cannot be erased and I cannot love new one. Only way is to permanently stop thinking. Is there any treatment for that so that my brain removes all prints of my love.

Hi Lybrate user, I understand your problem and it is callled as adjustment disorder .We are humans and we are bound to care for other human beings but some times we lose our identity in this process. You might have taken various sleeping pills but they are not the solution, what you need is a trained psychiatrist to remove your cognitive distortions (your thoughts troubling you because of your break up) and provide you CBT. The other medications like SSRIs may also help for some time. But do remember things are transient, our health is permanent. Best of luck.
