I am 49 year old male and I am diabetic from about 15 years. I have checked my sugar yesterday and random it is 335. I am taking dibizide m 3 times a day and ten20 tablet in morning. What should I do to control my diabetes.

Thanks for the query. The blood glucose level mentioned is too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. What is the HbA1c%? Please check that too. It appears present treatment with Diazide M three times a day and Ten 20 tab, is not adequate. We may have to upgrade the treatment. Looking at the high blood glucose llevel it is essential to shift to a long acting Insulin like Glargine, then control the high glucose and then shift back to only oral drugs, if possible. Because such a high level of glucose can hasten all the long temr complications of diabetes much earlier. Plus we will also have to look at your diet and daily physical activity, which play a major role in blood glucose control. Thanks.
