Thanks for the query. With TSh 12.41 mU/L it is clear that you have hypothyroidism. This needs to be treated with regular intake of specified dosage of Levothyroxine. Then TSH needs to be checked after 6 to 8 weeks to see if the dose being taken is adequate enough or there is any change needed. For being free from all the synptoms of hypothyroidism TSH needs to be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L. There is no special diet required. You have to avoid soy beans and soy containing foods. Plus consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruit. Plus use whole grain flour for roti and chapatis. Avoid bakery items and foods made from maida. Thanks.
