Hello Doctors, I'm 20 years old girl Actually from last two days my right breast is paining when I touched something like ball type of thing just today I went to a doctor she told me to do ultrasound of both breast I want to know that ultrasound is done in an empty stomach or after food. And one more thing I want to know that that vitamin D3 or protection test is done in An empty stomach or after breakfast?

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. For breast ultra sound test going on empty stomach or after food does not matter. You may also get a mammogram done for the same. The second part of the question is not clear to me. What do you mean by "protection test? Vitamin D3 is measured by taking a blood sample, for that too it does not matter whether one is on empty stomach or not. Thanks.
