Hi all I am a mother of a month old boy and facing following problem while breast feeding. 1 My baby does not get satisfy completely after taking direct feed. I have to then pump the milk out and give it to him. After I bring him close to me he drinks little amount and then sleeps. After that when I make him sleep on his bed he wakes up and becomes cranky. So currently I am pumping out milk and feeding him 2. There is very less amount of milk that gets pumped out from left breast as compared to right one 3. Which food to intake to increase milk production 4. Does milk production reduces if I pump out the milk and feed instead of direct. Please help me out on this.

milk production and ejection depends on sucking reflex.baby will suck milk only when you put the baby in comfortable position.put the black portion and not only nipple in baby mouth.breastfeed every 2 hrs for at least 20 min followed by burping.if baby sleeps while feeding ,wake him by tapping on feet.otherwise they will cry for milk repeatedly.if baby passes urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hrs,it means milk is sufficient.no need of top feeding.

There appears latching problem. Put blackish round area of breast in mouth in stead of nipple only after sitting in comfortable position. Look for that nostrils are not blocked. Expressed milk can be given with spoon not bottle. Milking either by suckling or pumping is good for production of milk.
