Hello lybrate-user. It completely depends on you wether it is more suitable for you to keep her at home or at a nursing home. Since she needs 24 hr monitoring and assistance and if you can provide it at home it s better for her to stay at home otherwise shift her to a nursing home.

Dear Rajiv, It is in our culture, to keep the elderly persons at home and care for them till the end. This person needs nursing care also which your family members alone can not do. So, it is better to keep her at home and keep a part time or full time nursing assistant, hired from some voluntary agency. If your house is, not that convenient or if you have other commitments, you have to shift her to a nursing home after counselling all relevant relatives.
