My mom has diabetes and got bitten by our pet dog. The wound was small but there was blood. The dog is well vaccinated. My mom ignored it earlier but after few hours her hand was swollen and became hard. She was then taken to doctor who gave Tetanus injection and medicines. My mom is now not interested for Rabies vaccine, also it is not available in the market. Please let me know if it is important to get rabies injection coz I read somewhere that dog bite may get complicated for diabetic person.

Hello, Thanks for the query. It is better to get rabies vaccine full 5 doses as she is diabetic. Ignoring is risky. Nothing may happen, but no one can give a clear assurance. Thanks.
