Hi, my age 27, married last year, recently I took thyroid test result is tsh 7.64.she suggested thyronorm 12.5. I could you please suggest me the diet plan and how frequent I took thyroid test. Is this thyroid will effect the conception?

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Usually at TSH level of 7.64 mU/L no treatment is advised, unless one has any of those troublesome symptoms of hypothyroidism. If one is on treatment then TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. There is no specific diet for hypothyroidism. Only thing is you should avoid soy beans and soy containing products. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Always use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. Avoid foods made of maida and bakery items. Thanks.
