Am sixty years old and suffering from Hypertension for which am taking daily one tablet i.e. RAMISTAR-H 5 mg. Before food and one tablet daily ie. ROSVUS-10 mg after food in the night as per the advise of physician. My sugar level is in the borderline i.e, HBA1C 6.5 Kindly render suggestions on the following:- 1) After completion of walking and physical exercise Am taking one cup of milk tea with jaggery (not sugar) daily with biscuits some time. Should I discontinue milk tea permanently and started to take one cup of lemon juice with honey. 2) Shall I start to take Green Tea without sugar instead of lemon juice with honey to avoid diabetes.

You don't have to discontinue milk. But it would be good if you can stop taking sugar. Even Jaggery contains some amount of sugar. Cut down other carbohydrate s like rice, potato etc.

Hello, I would rather ask you to discontinue with the biscuits. At this age you need to have good calcium,so rather discontinuing with milk, opt for skimmed milk to reduce the sodium content.Green tea can be added to the diet,go for decaffeinated one.
