My husband age is 32. Recently he took health checkup.in that we found thyroid problem. TSH level is 7.97ulU/mL. I think it is hypo thyroid. Blood sugar level is 5.6%.Could you please suggest the diet plan. What we take precautions for thyroid level is normal? Because my husband feeling very tired at all the time.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. With TSH level 7.97 mU/L, the condition is called as subclinical hypothyroidism. At this level usually no treatment is given, unless there are troublesome symptoms associated with that condition are present. Hence if he does not have any complaint, then there is no need to take thyroxine. However, he has to check TSH levels once in 6 months to an year, to see if there is any further increase in TSH. Treatment is initiated when TSH crosses 10 mU/L. In case you have any doubts please do come back. Thanks.
