Dear Lybrate user. Your goal itself seems to be self-contradictory. Doing medicine, but aiming at IAS. Off course, any degree is the qualification, but if you were clear about your goal you might have selected the suitable one in your UG. I mean, if you wanted to become a doctor, mbbs is OK. On the flip side, if you wanted to become an IAS you could have selected any other relevant degree in UG that could save time and energy which could be invested for IAS preparation. I. E, it will take 6 years to become a medical graduate. If you have chosen another 3-year degree, you can clear IAS within the same 6 years. Anyhow, nothing wrong has happened. I just want you to be more clear about where you are going and what your target is. Come through private consultations if you need more help.
