My son 5.5 year old have problem since 3 year nephrotic syndrome. We are helpless not able to understand how to cure baby. His schooling also miss out most of the time. We consulting doctor but not able understand how long baby have to suffer from nefrotic. We are fully confuse what will be the correct diet to control problem. How long it will take to cure n there is any hope for complete cure. My baby live life like other baby. Medication on going .omnacortil daily consume 50 mg Need a better n safe solution for my baby. Once a child is diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome the first line of medicines to be started for the child is omnacortil that is a steroid. Nephrotic syndrome may relapse till 15 years of age and sometimes about that. It is very important for the parents to support the child during this phase. As the medicine omnacortil that is going on has got advantages for nephrotic syndrome and disadvantages as side effects. If nephrotic syndrome is not controlled with the help of omnacortil then we have to go for other medicines to control it. But if omnacortil is able to control the disease that is nephrotic syndrome and the side effects are not more then we usually continue omnacortil. You have to visit your pediatrician every 15 to 20 days so as to C for any side effects related to omnacortil which is a steroid. If nephrotic syndrome is controlled then the child can have a normal childhood. It is very important for the parents to encourage the child and at the same time not lose hope as after some years nephrotic syndrome does get cured.
