My wife is suffering from thyroid from last 27 years her TSH keeps fluctuating as dose are reduced TSH increase dose increase TSH decrease pls suggest.

Hi please continue for 3-4 months on a fixed dose and repeat tests. Too early tests create confusion.

Firstly, ot is not a good idea have "knee-jerk" reaction to TSH .Hold a steady dose. And please do not self medicate. TSH level, independently, should not drive the treatment. Other thyroid and metabolic parameters as well as clinical symptoms will be taken into consideration by your treating physician. I would like to also rule out Thyroid auto-antibodies as that impacts my treatment plan. For my patients, I prefer to use compounded Thyroid containing a combination of T3 and T4.
