I have pilonidal sinus but it is not infected as there is no cyst formation. However I do have pain at the base of my tail bone and back pain. Sometimes by butt crack itches and cracks but there is no puss or blood coming out and it heals within 2-3 days with antiseptic cream. What should I do to reduce the pain at my tail bone as because of it it's uncomfortable to sit for long. Please suggest something for the pain.

Hi Definative treatment for Pilonidal sinus is surgery. Conservative measures like regular cleaning of the wound ,taking antibiotics will solve your problem temporarily but due to collection of Muck ,hair and pus inside it tends to Recur and pain from time to timetime. So surgical options with laser treatment will give definite cure to this problem. With laser treatment it is a simple 10 minutes surgery done under spinal anaesthesia there is much smaller cut and reduced pain and early healing with laser surgery .
