I have a Tsh of 10.35 and t3 and t4 are within range? I have not been taking any thyroid medicines. Which med and what dosage should I be taking.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. You have hypothyroidism, confirmed by TSH above 10 mU/L. This needs immediate treatment with adequate dose of Levothyroxine. Dosage has to be decided on the basis of weight, height, age and TSH levels, In addition to taking Levothyroxine, you will have to follow certain guidelines: 1) Avoid soy beans, soy containing foods, 2) Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. 3) Use whole grain flour for roti and chapati, 4) Avoid bakery items and foods made from maida. 5) Exercise regularly for at least one hour a day. Please remember treatment for hypothyroidism is to be taken for lifetime. Thanks.
