Dear Lybrate user, X-rays are harmful radiations that should be avoided if possible. But having said that the dose in simple spine x-ray is very low and hence there is not much harm in taking multiple x-ray spine on the same day itself provided it is indicated by the specialist.

There is no prescribed limit for time gap between 2 xrays. Diagnostic Xrays are not harmful in single or 2-3 sittings even if done at short intervals.
