I am 52 year old diabetic person. Is it advisable for me to use honey as my sweetener in tea/coffee or sometimes directly consuming it? Some says honey I can use but some people stop me from consuming honey as I am diabetic. Please advise me.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks or the query. Honey is made of sucrose, the same compound found in sugar or jaggery. Only difference being it also gives some vitamins and some antioxidents. It is good for a person who is not a diabetic. However, for a diabetic person it is like taking normal sugar. There is no difference. Thanks.
