Medicines passing through Placenta can go to the baby and cause certain problems, Ultra sound will be able to tell you as the baby is developing which your Obstetrician will be able to help you, usually Mazetol is safer though all medicines pass through placenta but mazetol passes less, chance has a roll too. Since you have epilepsy and if it is well controlled ,please do not stop medictions which can Precipitate fits and further problems if you stop, mother's health is more important than the to be born baby, worrying is of no use, consult doctor and she may help you.

Hi, You can plan baby but we need to change your medicines from one group to another which would b safer for the baby at the time of conception and during pregnancy. Do not worry after doing some investigations we will b able to confirm that your baby will not have same problem as you are suffering from.
