It can be taken but only if your sugars are not controlled. How. Much insulin are you taking. Glimy with insulin can cause low sugar. So be careful. Consult before taking.

If you are on insulin it is better to increase the dose of insulin if blood sugar is not controlled. If at all you want to add oral medicine metformin will be a better choice.
