I am 26 year old suffering from anxiety disorder. I take antidepressant tablets. I done my urine cultureshow staphlocous bacteria sensitive to linezolid. But doctor said that linezolidreact withantidepressants tablet. So you should stop antidepressant tablet for 5 weeks then start linezolid. Is it true?

Hi, Medications can interact and may lead to unwanted reactions which sometimes can be serious. Linezolid interacts with certain antidepressant medications and concomitant use should be avoided. So please follow your doctor's advise and discuss your concerns with him. You may also need to discuss with your physician whether alternative antibiotics can be taken instead of linezolid.
