Hello lybrate-user Yes you can have rice but only 2- 3 tbsspf, and 2 eggs, 60 gm of chicken only and 100 ml of milk. Avoid mango, grapes, sapodilla and banana. Rest as follows - Choose low fat diet - Choos high fiber diet -Maintain a regular meal pattern -Stick to 3 meals per day with snacks in between to avoid prolonged fasting intervals -Do not add salt to food and limit the consumption of processed foods -Include a starchy carbohydrate food such as bread, cereal, potato, rice or pasta (eat the appropriate portion) at each meal -Do not have alcohol - -Eat raw, fruits or as juice with no sugar added, or dried -Eat whole fruits as they�have more�fibre�and are more filling -Avoid having more than one portion of fruit at once Include�whole fruits with your breakfast cereals or as a snack item.

Yes, a diabetic person can eat egg, chicken and rice but in moderation which should be decided by the patient himself honestly. He can eat all fruits except some sweet fruits with high glycemic index like mangoes, grapes,cheekoo, banana etc. He can take protein, fats and carbohydrates. One should keep it in mind that every constituents of food gets converted into glucose to provide energy. Body of diabetic person is not able to metabolize glucose because of deficiency of insulin or resistance to its action. Hence vegetables, salad,whole grain flour are more suitable for them.
