I am on XDR TB treatment. Yesterday I went for cect chest my report says "my left lung shows large hydropneumothorax occuping almost entire left Hemi thorax. What does that mean?

It means there is free fluid outside the lungs...it is because of the TB.. with treatment it will also go.. if it is causing problems then it may need to drain..

Urgent tube thoracostomy needs to be done to drain the fluid in thoracic cavity. Continuation of the drugs 1 and half years after sputum conversion. Follow up for the fate of hydropneumothorax.
